In honor of Black History Month, I decided to post works from some of my favorite black artists. I’m also going to attempt a post a day, so we’ll see how this goes.
This first piece is from a show I saw in San Francisco in 1998, called Rhapsodies in Black. At this time in my life I was living in Oakland, working in San Francisco way to much free time in Jazz and Hip Hop Clubs…When I saw this piece by Archibald J Motley in the show at the Legion of Honor, I loved it-this was my life.
